Comment: I had never read this book before, so I found it very interesting and I enjoyed it a lot. I thought that the storyline with Peter and Valentine was an interesting parallel to what was going on with Ender and Rackam.
Question: In the book, a lot of cruel things are done to Ender and the other boys at Battle School with the goal of producing the soldiers and officers I.F. needs in order to fight the buggers. Do the ends, the defeat of the buggers and the threat to the human race, justify the means, turning children into soldiers? How much can the end outcome justify what we do in the present? A
