It was interesting to see so many elements from this book that are in more recent books that I have read. The Golden Compass shares the evil experimental group, the Gobblers, which mirrors the N.I.C.E. and The Order of the Phoenix reflects the dreams and fear of transferring information through thoughts.

Since C.S. Lewis was an inspiration to so many, who inspired him?
